North India

I grew up in North India in a family where seva — service for others — came before everything else. Even as a child I remember my father asking me before every decision I made, "Who benefits?" I've carried that question with me through every career decision I've made.

The Journey

Dental surgeon, global health, four continents

I trained as a dental surgeon, then spent a decade building health programmes across four continents. 200 million people reached, 30 million served, in places with broken infrastructure and no safety net. Rural clinics in India. National programmes in Africa. Every deployment taught me the same lesson: the bottleneck is never the intervention. It's the absence of reliable infrastructure underneath it.

Zen Energy

Zen Energy was born from the Jeff Dahn research group at Dalhousie University. I joined to build the EV business vertical from scratch — strategy and operations for e-mobility in a company rooted in some of the best battery science in the world. This is where I first saw the gap between what battery science could deliver in a lab and what emerging EV markets were actually getting. The bottleneck was not generation — it was storage, trust, and the infrastructure to make both reliable.

Chemistry, architecture, thermal management, algorithms, digital twin, lifecycle tracking, and circularity infrastructure all have to be engineered as one. That's what Zenfinity is building: batteries with integrity. Every pack we ship carries a verifiable record of its health, usage, and provenance. You can't finance what you can't measure, and you can't trust what you can't trace. This is how batteries become bankable assets, not black boxes.
